Rescue Story

Once Ryan has bonded with his humans he likes to follow them around and receive scratches. Although he’s distant with strangers, he remains approachable and friendly. One can still pet him. As a stray Ryan was found lying by a roadside with his rear right thigh and lower abdomen severely cut. A Good Samaritan saved his life by taking him to an animal clinic to receive proper medical care. He is however left with a long dark scar and his rear left paw has atrophied slightly but neither condition hinders his mobility. He has a medium energy level and can actually run really fast. He hopes to be the only pet in the household as he ignores other dogs and has too much interest in cats. Ryan can stay at home by himself no problem but hopes to find a loving family who won’t crate him too often as he would stay in there and become more withdrawn. He loves to chew, bones, dental treats and bully sticks of course, not the furniture as he’s well-behaved at home.

Please consider Ryan, for your new addition. There is a $150 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
