Rescue Story

Hei Tang, with upright huge bat shaped ears and non-stop wagging tail, likes to greet strangers with a face wash. As a stray found in a park, she was brought into the vet by a middle school aged girl. The girl explained that she took Hei Tang home to care for the puppy but her angry father threatened to throw the dog off their fourth floor balcony. If the animal clinic couldn’t keep Hei Tang, the girl’s only option was to release the puppy back to the park. Thus on that evening with heavy thunderous shower Hei Tang became the newest member of Mi Huai Gu Animal Hospital amongst 90 other dogs and cats many that share similar rescue stories as her. Hei Tang has lots of energy, is treats/food motivated, and loves to play with toys. She’s looking for an active family preferably with an easy-going young furry playmate who can provide help with housetraining and leash manners.

If you are interested in adopting Hei Tang please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please consider Hei Tang, for your new addition. There is a $400 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
