Rescue Story

Balloon is attached to his human and distant with new people.  Although afraid, he is able to takes treats from strangers’ hand.  He would try to get away and hide if someone approaches him with direct eye contacts and attempts to pet him.  He is improving with further socialization and would benefit from having an outgoing and well-balanced doggy companion in the home to show him the way,  He’s looking for a shy dog experienced and patient family to help him gain confidence through continuous socialization using positive reinforcement.  He enjoys playing with balls and water, great activities for bonding with his humans.

If you are interested in adopting Balloon please fill out an application. We will ask for pictures of your current pets (if any) and your house inside and outside upon receipt of your application.

Please note Balloon is part of our international rescue efforts and will be flown to the Lower Mainland (YVR) Vancouver International Airport on the next transport ONLY if a permanent home can be found beforehand.  Please consider Balloon, for your new addition. There is a $200 adoption fee (bank deposit and e-transfer only) which goes to help cover only a portion of each dog's medical and transport expenses. A home check will also be required because we do want to be sure that each dog goes to an environment suited to them. Please note that we don't have shelter facility in Canada, so please consider carefully again before this adoption.
